Each year in June we have the Fred Whitton Challenge Presentation Night, at which we celebrate the event, give prizes and present to the charities the money raised by the event. Everyone's welcome - riders, helpers, wives, husbands, friends etc.

The 2009 event raised a record total of over £55,000! Many thanks to all who contributed to raising this superb total - to the riders, everyone who raised sponsorship for the event, to Biketreks of Ambleside, who sponsored the 2009 event, and to all our helpers.

The 2009 presentation night was on Wednesday 24th June, at 8pm at the Prince of Wales pub in Foxfield. And beforehand there was a ride of about 30 miles around Coniston Lake, starting at 6:30pm from the square in Broughton-in-Furness. (Various groups of riders, according to how fast people want to ride.)

After the cheque presentation to the charities there was a very enjoyable social evening at the Prince of Wales, to celebrate the event's charity fundraising, and enjoy an excellent buffet provided by Stuart, Linda & Sue.
