2008 Event Entries Now Closed

We are really sorry but we cannot accept any more entries. The entry form was accessed so many times already that the entries already in the post will more than fill the event.

If you filled in an entry form and posted it to us first class on Tuesday (8th Jan) then you might get a place, in which case you will appear on the list of riders that we will put up on this website in a few days time. If you have sent an entry but have been unlucky, then we will use the SAE that you sent to let you know, and your cheque will be destroyed. We hope the disappointment will not stop you from entering again next year.

This year we have increased the total number of riders to 1000, but we still fall a long way short of accommodating all the people who want to ride. And with the narrow Lakeland roads and tourist traffic we believe this is our absolute limit. We do try to be really fair and just take entries as we come to them, so it just comes down to luck (even for members of our own club).

Sorry but we don't operate a 'reserve list'.
